The End of the Big Yellow Book

Sarah

TMP Directional Marketing have conducted a survey that for the first time has revealed that more searches for local businesses were now made online than through the Yellow Pages in the US.

Search engines now account for 31% of the market with the Yellow Pages now equating for 30% and the rest being taken by online Yellow Page-type sites and local search sites.

When thinking about your marketing review for the future this is further evidence that companies should be looking towards search engine optimisation even if it means the big yellow book will just end up propping the door open.
