Yahoo Launches Improved Mobile Website

Sarah

After announcing it at the Mobile Congress event in Barcelona back in February Yahoo made its mobile website and iPhone app available for this past week.

Yahoo has managed to integrate its oneSearch, Go, oneConnect and onePlace together to provide an easy to use mobile service.

The iPhone app is able to leverage location whilst the mobile site allows you to set a default location so that you can receive the news and information that is local to your current location.

Utilising all of the Yahoo services such as Flickr, news and sports, email and lots more to the mobile service Yahoo has created an attractive and easy to use mobile site. You can receive instant information that is relevant to you and the site is set so that this is easily read.

The site also provides easy access to social media sites through its Social Pulse app and is fully customisable so that you can integrate feeds from a service such as Twitter.

The mobile site will be finished off with interactive advertising where you can send ads to a friend, find the nearest dealer or contact the advertiser directly from the advert. Yahoo believes that this will enable advertisers to reach their targeted audience wherever they are.
