It seems like all the tech blog sites are telling us smartphone adoption is currently experiencing exponential growth. No surprising considering the likes of an iPhone of HTC Android are becoming the de facto in mobile ownership.
Likewise, QR (quick response) codes and other 2D codes are expected to see widespread adoption this year. The ability for QR codes to connect people to an array of digital content is very useful for both marketers and consumers. By simply scanning a QR code with an iPhone, Android or some other camera-enabled Smartphone a variety of content can be delivered. Maps, videos, images, web pages, telephone numbers, vCards, SMS and more.
So where are the numbers to glue these two claims together and to really persuade the guys up top to invest a little more in mobile marketing? Who are buying these smartphones? Who are using them? Where are they being used? What are they being used for?
Enjoy and I hope you find it useful :)
