It may only be the fourth most popular search engine, but Ask.com’s butler symbol, Jeeves, has remained one of the more iconic symbols in the search in recent years, so much so that the people at Ask have decided to bring the butler back to its UK based searches after a three year hiatus.
The return of Jeeves has coincided with an improved-look site that Ask believes will work harder to answer your search queries and produce results more relevant to your query.
Ask.com will also be showcasing a “question of the day” and the relevant answers, as well as bringing the dress sense of the butler more up to date. Look out for an extensive advertising campaign on all forms of media, complete with a Facebook profile showing pictures of where Jeeves has been on his three year holiday!
The television adverts will appear around popular television programmes and they will feature subjects that are tailored towards the individual show on at that time.
It will be interesting to see if there will be any affect on Ask.com’s numbers in the search engine standings.
