Here at White Hat Media we're big fans of innovation and hard work so when young computer science student Feross Aboukhadijeh built his own app - YouTube Instant in the wake of Google's launch we thought it deserved a mention.
Reacting so quickly was a very good effort and has paid off, almost literally. As you'd expect Feross's application is much like Google's new Instant feature which proposes different suggestions while you type in the search box. Feross's YouTube Instant predicts what you might be searching for and offers the most popular and/or most recent videos related to those keywords.
Over the weekend YouTube Instant was an… instant blogosphere hit and soon took on a viral life of its own, doing the rounds on Twitter initially and then getting the attention of Chad Hurley, none other than CEO and co-founder of YouTube. Hurley was a fan of the little app and swiftly offered Feross a job via a Tweet - " Hey @FreetheFeross! Loving YouTube instant… http://feross.net/instant/ want a job? ;) "
So now the net's wondering; will Feross take Hurley up on his offer, or finish his education at Stanford university? Either way, hats off to you sir.
