Page Rank
Pagerank is one of Google’s main methods in determining the relevance of page content to any search keyword. Developed by Google’s founders, it measures the links that are pointing to a website and where they are coming from. Utilizing the link structure of the internet, it interprets the links between sites to decide which are the most popular and beneficial to the search engine user.
Google works it out as when one page links to another it is casting a vote for that site and then the results are sorted into the pages you see when you’ve hit the search button.
Pay-Per-Click
Pay-per-click (PPC) is a form of Search Engine Marketing where businesses pay a set amount of money for an advert with a PPC service provider, and every time their PPC advert is clicked upon by a prospective customer, the company has to pay the PPC service provider. PPC adverts are shown in the sponsored links advertising section which appears on the top and right hand side of the screen on many search engines for specific keywords. PPC can be an ideal way to create instant visibility and targeted traffic for your website.
PPC can provide instant results and have the benefit of targeting your advertising needs, and clicks can be tracked to measure success.
PHP
General purpose scripting language originally designed for web development to produce dynamic web pages. Facebook is written primarily in PHP.
Phrase Match
Phrase Match is a keyword matching option for Google that works by inserting speech marks to the search query to give you an exact search match.
For example, if you input "sale bikes" into the search box, the results displayed will be relevant to sites advertising sale bikes. The search is so exact that if you input "bike for sale" you would get a different set of results.
