Job Description
We require a talented and flexible senior web developer, with ASP and .NET experience, to lead a dedicated team working to support the digital requirements of one of our key clients. Our client is a fast growing national company with a custom-built online membership system run entirely through their website.
As Technical Lead and senior developer on the project, you’ll be responsible for system design, implementing high quality code and ensuring the project innovates whilst remaining stable and scalable. You will also ensure every solution implemented meets the business needs. You will also be required to actively participate in client workshops, meetings and requirements gathering, and for liaising with the client’s Technical Lead.
We’re looking for someone who is quick to learn and a good team player, who has experience liaising directly with clients and excellent communication skills, to work closely with both the client and internal team to over deliver on quality, whilst ensuring milestones are met on time and on budget.
Skills Range:
- You’ll have been technical lead on several projects and have good understanding of the development lifecycle;
- You’ll be skilled in requirements engineering, and have solid application architecture, documentation and specification skills; • You will be fluent in Classic ASP (VB Script), .NET, HTML/XHTML, CSS and Javascript;
- You’ll have a thorough understanding of MySQL database-driven websites and database replication;
- You’ll have experience and knowledge of Windows Server maintenance;
- You’ll have excellent communication skills.

- XML

- Mobile application development
- Email / SMS Delivery experience
- Agile development methodologies (Scrum, XP…)
Responsibilities include:
- Future system planning - Ensuring continued scalability, reliability and usability, and knowledge of mobile application development;
- Day to day allocation and management of developer team tasks;
- Monitoring and maintaining Microsoft dual-server environment;
- Advising on, time estimating, scoping, developing and testing innovative new functionality with client and internal team’s input;
- Assessing and reporting on any budget or resource risks and opportunities;
- Managing bug fixing and ongoing optimisation of existing system;
- Communicating project progress effectively using online project management tools;
- Managing client support and bug fixing;
- Ensuring new and existing integrations with 3rd party software solutions run smoothly;
- Attending client and internal project meetings, and liaising with the client’s technical lead;
- Testing and validating work produced as part of the development process;
- Ensuring that all work carried out is well documented
